MACD is pleased to announce our Closing Lunch Keynote Speaker:

Mike Brown, Executive Director of the National Association of State Conservation Agencies.

Mike has served as the Executive Director of the National Association of State Conservation Agencies (NASCA) since October, 2010.  Before coming to NASCA, Mike worked for the Delaware Department of Agriculture where his primary responsibilities were forest management on private lands, state lands management, fire control, and policy planning. Mike also has worked for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, where he managed Delaware’s Nonpoint Source Program and served as the State’s District Operations Section Administrator.

The Keynote Presentation, "Sustaining Conservation Districts" will discuss Sustainability. We see this term used frequently today.  What does sustainability mean in the context of conservation? How does sustainability affect agricultural markets, and what is the potential impact of sustainability on conservation delivery?  Join Mike Brown, Executive Director of the National Association of State Conservation Agencies for a look at sustaining conservation districts into the future.
