MACD Membership

Why Join MACD?

MACD works side by side with conservationists statewide to promote natural resource management at the grassroots level.

With a strong membership base MACD can:

  • Represent your interests by helping others understand the Conservation District’s common sense approach to natural resource management; Ensure the continuation of a sound and strong cooperative approach to conservation programs through the wise utilization of federal Farm Bill program opportunities;
  • Work with conservation and natural resource agencies, organizations and state legislators to craft policy that strengthens our state’s commitment to conservation;
  • Work to secure increased funding for the Conservation District program delivery system, and state conservation programs;
  • Provide communications and information, leadership development, environmental education and marketing assistance to further the important work of Michigan Conservation Districts;
  • Encourage land users to adopt conservation practices that protect soil, water, and related natural resources.
